Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about buying and selling domains on Bulfinex.
Bulfinex Domains is the world's first trustless domain marketplace powered by smart contracts. It allows you to buy and sell domains using cryptocurrency with automatic escrow and verification.
Bulfinex uses smart contracts for escrow, so neither party needs to trust a central authority. Payment is held in USDC (stablecoin), transfers are verified automatically, and there are no middlemen.
We accept ETH, SOL, BNB, USDT, USDC, and many other major cryptocurrencies. All payments are automatically converted to USDC for stable escrow, so sellers always know the exact value.
Bulfinex Domains operates as a peer-to-peer marketplace where transactions are secured by smart contracts. We recommend consulting with legal and tax advisors regarding crypto transactions in your jurisdiction.
Either party can open a dispute within the escrow period. Our team reviews evidence and resolves disputes within 48 hours. The smart contract supports both refund and release resolutions.
Listing a domain is completely free. You only pay a 2% commission if the domain sells. There are no upfront fees, listing charges, or hidden costs.
You prove ownership by adding a DNS TXT record to your domain. This is a cryptographic proof that works with any registrar. It typically takes a few minutes to verify.
Yes, you have full control over pricing. You can list a fixed price, accept offers, or both. Our AI appraisal tool gives you fair market value estimates to help with pricing.
The typical transfer takes 1-3 days. If it takes longer than 14 days, the buyer automatically receives a full refund and you can relist the domain.
You receive payment (in USDC) as soon as the domain transfer is confirmed by our system. This usually happens within 24-48 hours of the buyer requesting the transfer.
If the seller allows offers, you can submit one directly on the domain listing. If they accept, you'll proceed to payment. If the listing is fixed-price only, you can only buy at that price.
Yes. Your payment is held in USDC stablecoin inside a verified smart contract on Polygon. No person — not even Bulfinex — can access it except through the defined release or refund functions.
Our system checks transfer status every 30 minutes. If the domain isn't transferred within 14 days, you automatically receive a full refund and can relist or contact support.
Yes. Our AI search helps you find available domains by describing what you need. It generates creative domain names and only shows ones that are actually available to register right now.
Once the transaction is complete, you'll receive transfer instructions and an auth code from the seller's registrar. You can then transfer it to any registrar you prefer.
We use Polygon (formerly Matic) for smart contract escrow. Polygon is fast, secure, and has low transaction costs, making it ideal for domain trading.
Yes. Our escrow smart contract is fully open source and verified on Polygonscan. Anyone can inspect the code to verify security and functionality.
Domain ownership is proven cryptographically through DNS records. You add a TXT record to your domain zone file, and our system verifies it. This works with every registrar.
Any Ethereum-compatible wallet works, including MetaMask, Wallet Connect, Ledger, Trezor, and others. You connect your wallet to Bulfinex to pay or receive funds.
Gas fees on Polygon are minimal (usually under $1). We also charge a 2% commission when a domain sells. The buyer and seller agree on who pays the gas fees.
